ER Experience

Me, Zach, Maddi (niece) Angela and Randy (friends) went to Grafton. Its a little ghost town by Zion. It was beautiful. we took a couple pics. We went to eat in Springdale, the cute little town right outside of Zion. when we sat down to eat i started seeing spots.....
Before i say anything else I am fine! So I went to the ER the other day, I had a massive killer migraine! YUCK, it started with spotted blindness, then a throbbing headache, then nausea, then numbness to my arm, lips, & tongue, then the whole left side of my body. Then I took a nap hoping it would go away, but.... it didn't. Zach took me upstairs and got me in a warm bath with the light off. (that was supposed to help) It didn't... So he took me to bed and gave me a blessing. My headache lifted for a little while, but my throbbing headache came right back. At this point I had been "sick" for like 5 hours. I called my Mom. She came over with all her essential oils. Again helped for a little while but came back. I threw up 4 times. Then we called Tyson (my stepmom), my dad had to wake her up because she worked 2am-2pm. (12 hour shifts, she is and RN for premature babies) She told me to go to the ER. so Zach took me to the ER. My body seemed like it weighted a million lbs. We got there and they put an IV in my arm and gave me like 4 drugs in my arm. I had to pee in a cup, to see if i was pregnant (I am not). Because they wanted a cat scan of my head. (nothing was wrong). Come to find out my migraine was caused be a sinus infection. What is funny is that i don't remember a lot of what happened at the hospital. I don't remember coming home or nothing. Zach told me that when he was taking me home I told him: "I wanna go home, go pee, get a drink, then go to bed." (don't remember saying any of this). Then when we got home and he was taking me up the stairs, I said: "I wanna watch Princess and the Frog". Ha ha i got through like 5 min or so, Zach said. When we got home it was about 1am. I woke up around 1pm. So 12-13 hours later. So that was my little adventure. Scary, but all that matters is that i am ok now.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

On St. Patrick's Day I made my hubby a GREEN dinner. I made Split pea soup, and crab salad in a half of an avocado. We had Mt. Dew to drink, Key lime pie for dessert, and watched "Fools Gold". It was a fun night.

Valentines Craft

I wanted to make my Visiting teaching ladies a valentine's day gift. So I was looking at all the blogs i follow and get this idea. this is how they turned out. It's called "Love Juice". It's just packets that you put in water. I thought they were way cute.

Vintage Frame

I found this Frame at the DI $1.50, I had to get it. I didn't know what I was gonna use it for, but I still got it. Turns out I needed something on our shelf above our bed next to the "I love you" blocks. It took me a long time to glue all the buttons on, only because I wanted it to look pretty. I love it!

Room Makeover

So our quilt (bed spread) looks so good in our room that I needed to do something with our room. I needed to decorate. So i went to the "bad store" Krumpet's home decor. It is the "bad store" because every time I go there i spend money. Everything in their store is so cute you just have to get it. So I purchased like 5 things. A sign that says "I love the way you love me", "I love you", and blocks that say "I love you". Everything is so so cute. Our room looks like Valentine's Day all the time. It is so cute. Oh yeah and a got 2 little birds to put by my cute little bird cage.

Bread Making

So I have made homemade bread with my mom for a little over a year now. I got my own Hand grinder a while ago and so I wanted to start making my own bread at my own house without my moms help. To just know that i could do it on my own. So I grinded my own wheat and made my bread. baked it and then took it out of the oven cut into it and the middle wasn't done. It was doughy. Yuck! I was so upset! I felt so dumb that i couldn't make homemade bread by myself. That I needed my "mommy's" help to bake bread for my husband. Wow I was so mad. Zach was wondering why i was getting so mad. He just kept saying that it was not my fault, that it was the yeast or some ingredients were bad. So I tried it again with new yeast, It didn't turn out. I felt so stupid! To make a long story short.... I tried and failed making homemade bread 5 or 6 times till i got it right. The day i got it perfect I was so happy, so excited! I did it all by myself. I am a big girl. I didn't need my "mommy". So now i make bread for me and my hubby all the time. I have perfected my bread making skills. Slash just an fyi... to grind 3 cups of wheat which is 1 loaf of bread, it takes 30 min. Very time consuming. So I learned a very important lesson: don't give up & if at first you don't succeed, try, try again.

Desk Redo

Ok So i have wanted an old desk for our printer and computer for awhile now but didn't want to spend a lot of $. So I kept looking at the DI. One day i found it! I was so excited! I had to get it, it was only $25 bucks! We sanded the whole thing down. Put a really dark stain on it, then i aged it just a little. To redo the deck and age it it ended up being a grand total of $30. How do you like it?
