Valentines Craft

I wanted to make my Visiting teaching ladies a valentine's day gift. So I was looking at all the blogs i follow and get this idea. this is how they turned out. It's called "Love Juice". It's just packets that you put in water. I thought they were way cute.

Vintage Frame

I found this Frame at the DI $1.50, I had to get it. I didn't know what I was gonna use it for, but I still got it. Turns out I needed something on our shelf above our bed next to the "I love you" blocks. It took me a long time to glue all the buttons on, only because I wanted it to look pretty. I love it!

Room Makeover

So our quilt (bed spread) looks so good in our room that I needed to do something with our room. I needed to decorate. So i went to the "bad store" Krumpet's home decor. It is the "bad store" because every time I go there i spend money. Everything in their store is so cute you just have to get it. So I purchased like 5 things. A sign that says "I love the way you love me", "I love you", and blocks that say "I love you". Everything is so so cute. Our room looks like Valentine's Day all the time. It is so cute. Oh yeah and a got 2 little birds to put by my cute little bird cage.

Bread Making

So I have made homemade bread with my mom for a little over a year now. I got my own Hand grinder a while ago and so I wanted to start making my own bread at my own house without my moms help. To just know that i could do it on my own. So I grinded my own wheat and made my bread. baked it and then took it out of the oven cut into it and the middle wasn't done. It was doughy. Yuck! I was so upset! I felt so dumb that i couldn't make homemade bread by myself. That I needed my "mommy's" help to bake bread for my husband. Wow I was so mad. Zach was wondering why i was getting so mad. He just kept saying that it was not my fault, that it was the yeast or some ingredients were bad. So I tried it again with new yeast, It didn't turn out. I felt so stupid! To make a long story short.... I tried and failed making homemade bread 5 or 6 times till i got it right. The day i got it perfect I was so happy, so excited! I did it all by myself. I am a big girl. I didn't need my "mommy". So now i make bread for me and my hubby all the time. I have perfected my bread making skills. Slash just an fyi... to grind 3 cups of wheat which is 1 loaf of bread, it takes 30 min. Very time consuming. So I learned a very important lesson: don't give up & if at first you don't succeed, try, try again.

Desk Redo

Ok So i have wanted an old desk for our printer and computer for awhile now but didn't want to spend a lot of $. So I kept looking at the DI. One day i found it! I was so excited! I had to get it, it was only $25 bucks! We sanded the whole thing down. Put a really dark stain on it, then i aged it just a little. To redo the deck and age it it ended up being a grand total of $30. How do you like it?

Christmas 2011

Our Nephew Kru is 2 years old and he was so excited about Christmas this year. He kept saying "Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas" it was so cute. Because Kru was so excited for Christmas we wanted to go over to Zach's sister's house in the morning to watch him open all his presents. It was so cute! we enjoyed watching him open all his presents. He was so happy and excited. Zach's brother is on a mission in Seoul Korea. Korea is a day ahead of us so Cody called on Christmas Eve. We all talked to him. He is doing so well, he loves the food and the people. He is still having a hard time with the language, but hardly anyone that goes on their mission to Korea only learn like 100 characters or something like that so they never get fluent. It is one of the hardest languages to learn. Zach's parnts gave is a Willow Tree figuring that i have wanted since we got married. It is called "Promise". I cried when I opened it. I was so so happy. After we spent the morning with Zach's family we went over to my Families house. Zach got like 7 ties for Christmas. my Mom made Zach and I a Quilt. It is our bed spread. I picked all the fabric and my mom sewed and quilted it for us! It is beautiful. those were my 2 Favorite gifts for Christmas. We went up north to my Dad's house and i loved spending time with My Dad, My Step Mom (Tyson) and my little brother Landon. he is getting so so big! I miss him. It makes me so sad that we live so far away and we can't go up north a lot because I am missing him growing up. For Zach and I we got each other iPhones! We love them! Thanks everyone for our Christmas gifts. We love you.
