THANKsgiving

Happy THANKsgiving everyone,
I hope all of you had an amazing THANKsgiving Feast, & Family time. We did! Except i wish we could have been with ALL our Families. It is hard having all of our families spread out everywhere when you want to all be together for the holidays. We spent this THANKsgiving with my Mom, Step Dad, (Pop) Step Sister Melanie, & her baby, (Madeline) My Grandpa & Grandma Allen, our dear friend Henry & his mother. Of course we all went around the table and told everyone what we where THANKful for. When it was my turn i said "I am THANKful for my Husband Zachary, and that we got Married in the Temple For Time & ALL ETERNITY! I love my Husband so very much! He is my life! I really don't know what i would do without him! I am a very lucky girl. THANK you to my Heavenly Father for bringing me a great Man, that i can spend ALL ETERNITY with! I am so SUPER happy!

Bear

Our new addition to our family, is our 5 month old male, fawn Boxer name Bear! He is such a good dog. We found him on Craigslist for super cheep. We have wanted a Boxer for awhile now and he was the ticket! i am so happy that we got him because the previous owners DID NOT feed him! He looks like a skeleton. It make me so super sad. But he is eating here and loves us dearly. we love him too. I was having a really hard time with him just cause he is sick and he needs so much attention but i think i will come to love him better when he fattens up. He needs all the love he can get. So if you wanna come by and give him loves please let me know.

1 Year Anniversary

Wow! So Zach & i have been married for ! whole year today! That went by so so fast i cant believe it has been a year?.... It really doesn't feel like it at all. It feels like maybe 4 months. I guess that means we are doing good. Slash we are doing REALLY, REALLY, well. I LOVE married life! I wouldn't trade it or him (ha ha) for anything in the entire world.
Well for our Anniversary we went to Lagoon on the 2nd of October because our little niece is getting blessed on our "real" Anniversary weekend. It was Frightmares, i thought it would be scarier than it was but it was alright. we went on Wicked, Colossus, the old wooden roller coaster, Spider, Wild Mouse, Tidal wave, Rattle Snake Rapids, the Log Ride, & the Sky Coaster. We might have gone on a few others but i cant remember the names of them. There was shows playing too. We went to a cute Witch show, and a show called Vampire Awakening, And then a show called Hackenslash Chainsaw Demonstration Team, That was our favorite. They wore masks, and dressed like they were butchers. They had wild white hair too. I was scared of them when they were not performing. There was like maybe 12 of them. They did the dance to Thriller! IT was freakin' AWESOME! I think that was our favorite part of that day. Oh Zach went on The Rocket with his cousin Doug (& his wife Lindsey) i didn't want to go on it because i don't like that ride. they had fun tho. We stayed with Doug & Lindsey for the weekend because they live right next to Lagoon. It was a good day.
Tonight our "real" Anniversary, we are gonna go to the temple and do a couple sealings, then go out to dinner.

Niece & Nephew

Well we are an Aunt & an Uncle again! My sister Melanie had Madeline Rae on July 17th at 12:37 am. She weighed 7 lbs 2 oz. She was 19 1/2 inches long. She is super cute! She is getting blessed on sunday the 10th of October. I took her blessing pics. Zach's sister Amber had another little boy, Kreed Jay. Born on September 4th, at 2:52 am, He weighed 7 lbs 12 oz. He was 20 1/2 inches long. He is cute too. I took some pics of him just the other day!

Canon 50D

I got a brand new BIG time camera! I am so excited to use my Canon 50D camera with my 28-135mm lens! We just got it! I am super excited to start my photography business! let me know if you need some pictures!

California

So Zach and I went to California to go with my cousin Rebecca to the temple for the first time. But first on Thursday we went to the tide pools because Zach had never been to a real tide pool. The tide was not the far out, so we didnt really see much. We still had fun tho. Then that night we had a baby shower for my other cousin Emily. She is having a little girl. Her name will be Sadie Rae. So cute. The next morning my Uncle Jerry, Bobby (Emily's husband) and Zach went deep sea fishing. Zach caught 13 fish. He almost caught a barracuda, but it bit the line and he lost it. I really wanted to go but i didnt want to get up at 5am to go. So it was just a boys day out. Then when they got back Becca Bean, Zach and I went to Joe's Crab Shack. Then we all went to the beach. It was a nice day.

Saturday morning we went to the temple with Becca Bean! She is going on a Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to Scotland Edinburgh. We are so proud of her. I have always wanted to go to Scotland/Ireland. After the temple session pop, mom, Zach and I went to Tommy's! Just in case any of you dont know what Tommy's is, it is an AMAZING burger place. Worlds famous Hamburgers! They put Chili on everything! It is so messy and AMAZING! We only go to the original Tommy's because its the BEST! If you are ever in hollywood look it up! You will NOT regret it!

Oh and we had my mom's birthday. She got a way cool new game called Crazy Sixes. We played it a lot. Not to mention a lot of other games too. I miss them so much! Playing with family is the BEST! After all was said and done the trip was awesome. Thanks Family!

Fishing

ok Zach and i have picked up a new hobby. We are obsessed with FISHING!!! We were going like 5 out of 7 days one week. It is so nice to be outside and being together. One Sunday we went up to Pine Valley. I caught 2 fish! They were little but they were fish. Zach let one get away, but we took one home and he cooked it for us. It was SO good! Thanks honey, your the best!

Lake Day

We love going to the lake. Pop, Mom, Zach, my friend Lexie and I went. Amber (Zach's sister) was working and wanted us to babysit Kru (Zach's nephew) but we already planned on going boating. So we just took him with us. Kru loved the boat, and he loves his uncle Zach! He tried to jump in the water a few times when the boat was moving. He wanted to get in so bad, so when the boat stopped we let him in the water a couple of times. He was so fun! We love Kru!

Narrows

I have never hiked the narrows but i have always wanted to. Zach, Chelzee, and I decided to hike it. It was so much fun. It was really hard trying to hike up river but we did it.

Cali Trip.

We took a Nye family weeks vacation to California. We went to Universal Studios, Disneyland, California Adventure, Sea World, & San Diego Zoo. It was so so much fun. I love Disneyland so so much i could have been there all week. Universal Studios was ok, we only spent a half a day there, then just Zach and I went to Disneyland. We hit Indiana Jones ride first. Which was good because it was closed the rest of the time we were there. which was 2 more days. We went on the Pirates of the Caribbean 7 times, Haunted Mansion 4 times, Winnie The Pooh like 4 times, & Thunder Mountain Railroad like 4-5 times. I love disneyland! We rode California Screamin' like 5 times, that was the only "roller coster" we got the whole time in Cali. so we took advantage of that. Sea World was so nice. We loved to see all the animals. we only spent like a half a day there also. The San Diego Zoo was so BIG. Zach and i were the only ones that went. We visited the beach a couple times too. The California trip was a success.

Vegas

We decided to go to Vegas on one of Zach's day off. We went there just to go to Shark Reef. Dont waste your money going there. It wasnt that great. We walked to whole strip twice. That was dumb! We hurt So bad for the next week. It is a tradition to go in the Bellagio atrium and see how pretty it is every time we stop in Vegas. It was a garden theme. Very appropriate i am growing a garden myself. We got to meet and take a picture with the Coca Cola polar bear. A fun day of memories with husband and wife.

Camping!

WE LOVE CAMPING!!! We just got a 2 man tent so we had to try it out. Zach got off work a little late so we just had time to go to Red Cliffs. It was way fun tho. I made pasta salad, asparagus, onions, and chicken as tin foil dinners. They were AWESOME! We went on a hike in the morning. Slash when we woke up there was a ton of caterpillars on and in our tent it was funny. We love camping.

Mother's Day

It was so nice to be with my mommy. we all got my mom i big flower pot! She loved them. Tess and Rico came over also. They are just apart of the family. Heather was able to make it also. We missed Paul tho.

Cody's Farewell

We went up Idaho for Cody's farewell. It was so nice to get away from St. George. It was a very emotional day for the Nye family. Zach misses Cody a lot. He is on a LDD mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in South, Seoul Korea.

Day @ Zions

So Zach's Dad, Mom, brother Cody, & sister Chelzee came down to St. George. Cody is going on a mission so the South Seoul Korea mission, and he wanted to come to the St. George Temple to get his endowments, so his sister Amber, her husband, Zach and i could go. So we all went to the early 8am session at the temple. It was great to go to the temple. Then the whole family went to Zions. All the kids went hiking. It was fun. Kru stayed and played at the park, he LOVES being outside. We took some dutch ovens and made an amazing stew and some peach cobbler. Dinner was super good. Fun day at Zions!

Hoogle Zoo

Zach, Chelzee, Christian and I went to the Hoogle Zoo before we went to the Jazz game. It was lots of fun! We saw a baby elephant and a baby giraffe, they were so cute. A week or 2 later we hear that the baby giraffe had died. It was so sad. :(

Jen's first Jazz game!

This was my first Jazz game EVER! It was SUPER SUPER fun! It was on March 20th 2010, Jazz vs New Orleans. It was a blowout game 106 to 86 JAZZ won! We were on the 22 row, it was so awesome. We were so close to the players. We went with Chelzee and Cody (Zach's brother and sister) Zach's mom got us the tickets. Thanks mom! It was super fun! I wore a Derrin Williams jersey, And Zach wore a shirt that my cousin Bobby gave him cause he didnt have anything. My other cousin Chris has season ticket to the Jazz and he didnt want to go so got to give them to our friend Christian and his other friend. Being at the Jazz game was so much fun!

My 2 Nephews!

I love my 2 nephews! They are super cute. Kru is my sister in law Amber's little boy. He is gonna be 2 in june i think? Kru is the one with the buzzed hair. Jaxton is my step sister Natalie's little boy! He is so funny! He is gonna be 2 in November. I love both of them so so much! They are so funny when they played together this night, wrestling together and climbing on each other and just laughing so hard! It is so much fun. I cant wait till i have kids of my own.

Elder Paul Oakey

This is my younger brother, Elder Paul Oakey. He is serving a mission in the Guatemala City South Mission for The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. He will be there for 2 years. I miss him A LOT! He is an awesome missionary.

Honeymoon!

Our honeymoon was AWESOME! We went to Can Cun. It was the first time I used my passport. Can Cun was really, really humid, but it was beautiful. We stayed in an All Inclusive hotel. There was 7 restaurants on the resort, we ate 3 meals a day, the food was amazing! In Can Cun there are HUGE iguanas everywhere! We went to a Flea Market, i was kinda scary. I was really good that Zach could speak spanish because they couldn't rip us off, like regular tourist does. We were there for 6 nights. it was amazing!

OUR BIG DAY!

Our wedding day was perfect!!! Everything went perfect. The temple was Amazing! The day couldn't have been better. Thanks everyone that helped & attended! It was the BEST day of our lives!
